Piazza Dogana

Customs is a rectangular square which lies immediately north-east of Piazza Duomo, overlooking the avenue Ennio enjoyed. It takes its name from the fact that there stood the Papal Customs, the heir of a similar institution of the Roman age. Near the square, in fact, there was an entrance to the city, Porta Rector.
